Aims and Scope

Dermatology Practical & Conceptual is an international, peer-reviewed, online-only journal that publishes original research articles covering both practical and conceptual aspects of dermatology. The journal embraces all fields related to dermatology, including the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and epidemiology of skin diseases.

Dermatology Practical & Conceptual publishes four issues per year, in January, April, July, and October.

A particular focus is placed on morphological studies and their integration with other types of research, such as molecular biology and genetics. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that explore the educational, ethical, historical, sociological, and artistic dimensions of dermatology.

Our mission is to foster communication among clinical practitioners, diagnosticians, and researchers, and to serve as a resource for continuing medical education—particularly in general medicine and pediatric dermatology.

As an online-only journal, Dermatology Practical & Conceptual provides authors with the opportunity to publish high-resolution images, video materials, and extensive data sets without space limitations.

All research articles are published under an open access policy and are freely and permanently available online.

Scientific integrity is ensured through a rigorous peer review process for all submitted manuscripts.
